2012

My songs from that crazy and weird 2012 in Finland and eight more countries. No particular order. Just a way to remember all this.

This was THE song for european summer 2012. Lau showed me this video, Sebi tryed to play this song several times.

An awesome LDR song that resignifies itself.

Maybe the first song Sebi showed me. Nice, nice. It was september, and I was smoking in a 3 D balcony.

Whenever I felt sad (and I remember particularlly two times: one in Riga, one in Tervola) this song was in my head. Beautiful.

When I left Russia, when I crossed to Norway. Que me vean otros cielos.

St Petersburg, and Hietaniemi, and what else. Fito.

I love these two guys and their only album. But I choose a cover. Fuck off.

Summer, party, Moscow and Riga. From Colombia to Latvia. Maybe.

My Helsinki song. They were playing thia song on the bus to Russia when I left Helsinki, they were playing at the stadium next to my hostel when i came back.

Karen was the DJ during that weird trip to Tromso and Harstad and Kiruna.

Another one from Karen's collection, and also one of Lula's.

Probably my favourite song from 2012. Lula&Sebi played it one night at 3 D, marvelous.

A song that followed me while crossing the Moskva, the Daugava, the Kemijoki, the Tana, the Manzanares. My bridge song.

A weird, surprising and moving night in Augsburg. Like going back to a place we've never been before.

I don't know what happened that night. I was going back from Rovaniemi's center, crossing K market. And this song made me cry. Of course, thats my wife.

Maybe it was my goodbye song, the song I was listening to all the time before going to Finland. Also part of the trip, also part of 2012.

It was raining in Riga and I sat by the Daugava. I think there are no many songs in this world that have that kind of effect. This is one.

I can't explain how many things happened with this song. It is not only walking by the door of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg at sunset, not only is the Sarmiento in the morning, not only a bus cruising Latvia or a 15 blocks walk to the station. It is also a battle-cry, and the song I want to hear if one day I'm in one.

A documentary, an infinit series of pictures.

I learned this song one night close to Pyhatunturi, with dutch gin and beer. It became a fireplace anthem.

I tought this song to a bunch of german. Two of them forced me to sing the french part. They even recorded ir. Weird night.

Lula&Sebi, but no Lula in Rovaniemi. So Sebi always looked for someone to sing the other part of the song.

Utsjoki, and Tromso, and many parties. I dont like the song, but I love the memories.

Idem. Plus waiting for somebody or asking to wait while riding a bike.

Anna once told me that Go West from Pet Shop Boys was not a party song. She put this song instead.

That night, close to Pyhatunturi, Sebi and Walle played this song. I didnt know it. It was also the start of my How I met your mother rush.

Im not sure why, but this song... well, its this song.

I dont care and I dont mind if this song is against Bavaria. Fuck off. Die Totten Hosen is awesome.

Since that first fireplace, that first week, this song was everywhere, like a symbol of me being surrounded by germans. I wish I could sing it.

Dancing to this song, jumping over a bed with a slovak girl. Five policemen invading my room. Cool night.

My goodbye song in Moscow and Riga. My two toughest goodbyes. Before Finland. And Germany.

That awesome Atomic Café in Munich. That awesome night.

I heard this song for christmas in Spain. It was in my head every single hour I spent in Germany.

Another one from Sebi's collection.

When I was happy.
Por qué fingir? Ya digámoslo
aunque sea en una canción.
Vos ya sabés,
así te quiero.

Lau showed me this. And this is awesome because, well just because.
